Journal of Dentomaxillofacial Science

This journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Journal of Dentomaxillofacial Science (JDMFS) or J Dentomaxillofac Sci as abbreviation is an international, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing research in oral health, oral diseases, and oral maxillofacial rehabilitation, with a particular emphasis on marine dental-associated topics. Its goal is to publish translational and applicative research that enhances oral health sciences, clinical practice, fosters innovation, and promotes collaboration among practitioners, educators, and researchers worldwide. The journal covers various topics within oral health science to support the exchange of ideas and solutions for complex oral health related issues.

The Journal of Dentomaxillofacial Science (JDMFS) was established in 2002, initially under the name Dentofasial (ISSN 1412-8926). In 2016, the journal adopted its current title to better reflect its scope. Over the years, it has achieved several milestones, including indexing in prominent databases such as DOAJ and Scopus, and earning top SINTA accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Republic of Indonesia. In 2025, the journal transitioned to the Digital Commons platform, further enhancing its visibility, accessibility, and reach to a global audience. Throughout its evolution, the journal has maintained its commitment to publishing high-quality research in the field of dentomaxillofacial science.

The journal initially published three issues per year, in April, August, and December. Beginning in 2025, it transitioned to a quarterly publication schedule, releasing issues in January, April, July, and October. Starting in 2026 and onwards, the journal will continue its quarterly publication in January, April, July, and October to ensure more consistent dissemination of its latest research findings.
