Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe the management of Angle Class I malocclusion associated with protrusion, deep bite, midline shift, and mild crowding.

Case Report: Skeletal evaluation revealed a Class I relationship with orthognathic maxilla and mandible (A-Nasion-B angle: 1.1°; Sella-Na-sion-A angle: 82.8°; Sella-Nasion-B angle: 81.7°), a normal facial pattern (Frankfort-mandibular plane angle: 21.78°), and a prominent chin (Holdaway line-Nasion-Pogonion angle: 91.6°) with normal maxillary incisor inclination (upper incisor-Nasion-A point angle: 25.41°) and normal mandibular incisor inclination (lower incisor-Nasion-B point angle: 30.57").

Results: Treatment was performed using a 0.022-inch slot pre-adjusted Mclaughlin-Bennett-Trevisi bracket system. The treatment sequence included leveling and alignment, space closure, and finishing and detailing, progressing to a 0.019 x 0.025-inch stainless steel archwire with triangular elastic configuration.

Conclusion: The patient's smile and facial profile became more pleasant following orthodontic treatment.
